Who we are

Scandinavia's first Irish culture centre

An Iorua – Irish cultural centre is still a young organisation. Our main purpose is to promote Irish culture and communities in Norway, as well as cultural exchanges between Ireland and Norway.
We aim to be a cultural resource to Irish expats in Norway, as well as for anyone interested in Irish culture. We also want to be a resource for other Irish or Irish-related organisations.

What we do

Culture and community

The organisation's main task is to run the cultural centre. In the future, the centre should be a physical place. At the moment, we don't have our own premises, but we are not letting this stop us from organising loads of events and activities!

Our activities are centred around two pillars: culture and community.

You can expect concerts, performances, literary talks, exhibitions etc., but also interactive events like workshops, sessions, and ceilis.

Our activities are open and inclusive – regardless of people’s background and nationality.
